Resume of Cell Phones

Nokia 1011

This is my first cell phone that I bought 1994 in Munich.
The phone worked great while roaming all over Europe.
Nokia 6110 (GSM)

I upgraded to a 6110 mainly because it was about 1/3 the size of the 1011
Nokia 6210 (D2-Platin Club)

After giving the cell phone provider way too much money using my phone they gave me a "free" phone and some extra perks.

Nokia 6110 (TDMA/Analog)

My first US based cell phone (long before GSM was available).
I had to deposist $1000 to get the phone with contract and international calling disabled.
That's what you get (or don't) without a credit history.
Nokia 7110

The 6110 fell too many times while riding my bike. I replacedit with a 7110.

Nokia 6800

The 6800 was the kick off to the "fold open QWERTY keyboard" phase

Nokia 6820

This is a German version with tri band which didn't work as well in the US. (no 850 MHz support)

Nokia E70-2

This phone has many features that I use.
I used VoIP many time. For example: from the Virgin Islands to call Europe using an open WiFi connection.

I installed navigation software: Route 66 mobile 7 (http://www.66.com)
The best part of "Route 66" all maps are stored on the phone.
The navi works entirely without cell connection (you can get traffic updates in some countries)

Here is the external GPS unit (BlueTooth).
