Flying into Amsterdam on 23-Dec-2007 I took the following pictures of an offshore windpark. The park is currently under construction.(airplane wing in front) Check out the official site: http://www.noordzeewind.nl/
This is my first cell phone that I bought 1994 in Munich.
The phone worked great while roaming all over Europe.
Nokia 6110 (GSM)
I upgraded to a 6110 mainly because it was about 1/3 the size of the 1011
Nokia 6210 (D2-Platin Club)
After giving the cell phone provider way too much money using my phone they gave me a "free" phone and some extra perks.
Nokia 6110 (TDMA/Analog)
My first US based cell phone (long before GSM was available). I had to deposist $1000 to get the phone with contract and international calling disabled. That's what you get (or don't) without a credit history.
Nokia 7110
The 6110 fell too many times while riding my bike. I replacedit with a 7110.
Nokia 6800
The 6800 was the kick off to the "fold open QWERTY keyboard" phase
Nokia 6820
This is a German version with tri band which didn't work as well in the US. (no 850 MHz support)
Nokia E70-2
This phone has many features that I use.
I used VoIP many time. For example: from the Virgin Islands to call Europe using an open WiFi connection. I installed navigation software: Route 66 mobile 7 (http://www.66.com)
The best part of "Route 66" all maps are stored on the phone.
The navi works entirely without cell connection (you can get traffic updates in some countries)
